FAQs

Is food available at the pub?

Our kitchen is currently open on Sundays and serves a delicious traditional roast dinner. Breakfast is available to our B&B customers; we serve a hearty full English with options for you to choose from (£12.95pp). This can be booked at the bar upon check in when you arrive.

Food options in the village include Chinese, Indian, Fish and Chips, as well as the Jolly Farmer pub and restaurant. There are many lovely pubs and restaurants in the local area including the Grantley Arms and the Seahorse.

Deliveroo also operates in the local area and has many different options to choose from. Any customers are more than welcome to bring takeaways back to the pub and sit down to enjoy them. We can provide you with plates and cutlery.

How do i book breakfast?

Breakfast is booked at the bar apon your arrival. Served MON-FRI 7:30am until 9am, SAT & SUN 9am until 9:30am. We serve a full english breakfast and variants of including a vegetarian option. Tea, coffee and orange juice are included in the price. If you have any requests or allergies/intollerances please make us aware of this before your arrival so we can accomedate your dietry requirements. Breakfast is at an aditional £12.95 on top of your room price.

What times are check in and check out?

Our check in time ranges from 11am until 9pm. Check out is at 10am and cannot be extended. Please let us know what time you would like to arrive so we can be ready to welcome you; the pub opens at 3pm during the week and 12pm at the weekend so if you arrive to check in earlier than this give a good knock on the door and ring the door bell and one of our staff will welcome you and get you checked in.

Is there parking available onsite?

Yes, we have 5 spaces at the front of the pub which can be reserved for B&B customers. If you have reserved a parking space when you arrive you will see a traffic cone in the space with “reserved for B&B’s“ on it; this is your space. There is also free 24/7 parking at the shops opposite the pub as well as additional parking at the local village hall and library which are all less than 2 minutes walk from the pub.

Have you got a number for a local taxi company?

Yes, we have two local taxi companies for you to choose from: Swift Ride: 01483399198, Waverley Cars-01483 385858 and A.B.R Taxis-07944217839. We reccomend to all of our customers who need taxis to book them in advance as it is a small village and the taxi companies can get very busy at peak times like weekends and rush hour. There are other taxi companies available in the area if our reccomended companies are fully booked.

Do we pay on arrival?

Yes. We take payment details to secure your booking but do not take any payment until you arrive to check in. If you are a business booking rooms for your employees who are working away please make us aware that payment needs to be taken from the business card used when the booking was made and leave a valid email address for invoicing.

What is your cancelation policy?

We hold a 24 hour cancelation policy; as long as you cancel 24 hours in advance of your stay there will be no charge for cancelling the reservation. If you fail to cancell prior to 24 hours of your stay the full amount will be charged.
